After attending a Campaign Management Training by Vote, Run, Lead Action, Danielle decided to shift her career back to practical politics after years giving back as a Spanish teacher.
She decided to focus on the finances and fundraising on campaigns. Receiving scholarship funds to attend the Arena Academy in September 2023 on the Finance Track.
Danielle is currently seeking a position on the finance team of a 2024 campaign.
Overview
Danielle is trained as a political scientist and currently teaches Spanish in the K-12 school system. However, she has also taught at the university level.
Her areas of specialization include women and politics, project management, social media, strategic planning, organizing, International Organizations, Online & Hybrid Teaching (since 2009), Spanish American Literature, Spanish grammar, and technology in the classroom.

Political and Public Policy Research
- Formed & maintained database of neighborhood planning units/associations;
- Assisted with voter registration drives & Navigated transportation logistics during the 2008 DNC Convention (Acceptance speech night);
- Created a persuasive fact sheet about Women’s Caucuses, advocating for female political elites to establish legislative women's caucuses;
- Analyzed national & state level laws and literature to investigate why, despite several international & nation state level laws, women still only represent 10% of the world’s national legislators;
Process Improvements
- Provided training to the core team of a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) on improving mailings and social media strategies;
- Planned & organized an internal brown bag event titled "When Quotas are Not Enough – Assessing Women’s Power in Politics" using Management by Objectives (MBO);
- Facilitated the creation of & co-wrote an office handbook for a small non-profit organization.
